Thank you for booking with Makeup Station


A 30% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your booking date. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee is received by us. This booking fee is not transferable to another person. By paying the booking fee, you agree to our terms and conditions. Remaining amount is due in full 7 days prior to your event date. 


If you are having to cancel your booking for any reason including, but not limited to, health pandemics, change in government regulations, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures, personal and financial reasons, your payment is not refundable. 

In the unlikely event that Makeup Station is unable to attend to your booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency, or any other circumstance beyond our control, we will do our best to find a replacement artist or refund 100% of the amount already paid by you.  


If you are having to postpone your booking, we are happy to transfer your booking fee to your new date within 1 year of the original, strictly subject to our availability. If our team is not available on your new date or if your new date is more than 1 year after the original date, your booking fee is not refundable or transferable. Prices are subject to change for your new, postponed date. 


All wedding prices stated on our website are to include a bride plus bridal party. If you are wanting bridal only, mother of the bride/groom only, bridesmaid only, etc. services, our price will be quoted pending booking confirmation. 

Our team is not obliged to stay and do additional touch-ups once our services are completed. Should you want this additional service, please advise when finalising your booking. 


A travel fee will be calculated at $1+GST per km return from City Center plus any tolls per artist. Our minimum travel fee is $20+GST per artist. This covers petrol and car usage. In addition to this, we charge an hourly rate of $25+GST per artist for the time spent travelling to your location, as at this time we cannot take other work. If travel to your location is more than 3 hours, an overnight accommodation will also be required. 

Travel/Parking fee to Auckland CBD is $40+GST. 

Travel/Parking fee to Christchurch Central is $25+GST.


We are more than happy to be available for clients during public holidays, however this is time away from our families, so a 15%+GST surcharge will apply on the total. 


A $40+GST surcharge is payable per artist per hour for any early morning start before 7am with a minimum charge of $40+GST. 


Previews are non-refundable upon completion. We will do our very best to accommodate your preferred date, but please be prepared to have your preview Monday – Thursday as we would like to keep our weekends free for weddings and special occasions. We recommend that you attend your preview on your own, as it can be very distracting for our artists to work through a preview with other people around. 


We are very happy to make adjustments to your booking numbers where possible. 

If you would like to add more people to your booking, we will try our very best to fit this in with the artist/s already booked for your date or book an extra artist where possible. 

If you would like to remove people from your booking (with an acceptable reason, not just a change of mind), you can do this within 60 days prior to your event date. Any services no longer required less than 60 days prior to your booking will incur a 50% charge of what was originally quoted. Any services no longer required less than 30 days prior to your booking date will be charged in full. We would have accepted your booking based on your numbers and turned away other clients. We recommend you check if any of your other guests would like to get their makeup/hair done instead. 


It is the client’s responsibility to make our team aware of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or others in the party may have. We recommend clients bring their own products should they be sensitive to our brands. 


It is imperative that we continue to update our portfolio and demonstrate our work to future clients. We might take photos of our work on the day to use on our social media, website, and marketing material. Please let us know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed. 

We would love to see and share your professional photos and would be very grateful if you could send these to us when they become available. A link to your album from your photographer is usually best for quality. 


We reserve the right to cancel any booking and provide email notification of doing so if a booking is in breach of our terms and conditions.
